Mazut M100 (fuel oil) is the dominant boiler fuel across Kazakhstan’s legacy power generation and district heating infrastructure. Kazakhstan operates a network of thermal power stations (GRES — gosudarstvennaya rayonnaya elektrostantsiya) and combined heat and power plants (TETs — teploelektrotsentral’naya stantsiya) that were designed and built during the Soviet era to burn Mazut as their primary or secondary fuel. While gas has replaced Mazut at some facilities following pipeline development, a significant number of CHP plants, district heating boilers (kotelniye) and industrial steam generators across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan continue to run on Mazut M100.

LLP Kamenistoe-Neft supplies Mazut M100 to power generation operators, district heating companies (teplokommunenergo), industrial plant operators and energy resellers. We source Mazut from Atyrau and Pavlodar refineries and can supply across a range of sulphur grades to match both operating requirements and environmental permit specifications.

Mazut M100 specification (GOST 10585): Gross calorific value approximately 40.5–41.0 MJ/kg; viscosity at 80°C: 8–50 cSt depending on grade; sulphur grades available: 0.5% (Grade 5, low-sulphur), 1.0%, 2.0%, 3.5% (standard grade, most cost-competitive for boiler use); pour point +25°C maximum; ash content 0.05–0.14% depending on grade. The most widely procured grade for boiler and power station use is M100 sulphur 3.5% due to its lower cost — however buyers in areas subject to local air quality regulations should specify lower-sulphur grades.

Delivery is by rail in tank wagons directly to power station rail sidings, or by road tanker to facilities without rail access. Minimum order for Mazut is 5,000 MT by rail. Seasonal supply agreements are available for heating season (October–April) procurement.
